I can slowly see the calendar starting to fill and feeling the rush of the season coming upon us. Even so, I'm really, really, REALLY trying to keep my heart in the right place. I'm guilty of focusing on the big picture and not seeing all the tiny pixels that make it so beautiful. There are so many things to be thankful for around us at any given moment.
My Friday Favorites this week are some of my favorite everyday blessings!
* my Aggie family! - I'm so very thankful that I married an Aggie who bleeds maroon the way I do. Saturdays at Kyle Field with my peeps is truly one of my favorite places to be!
Fall 2012 - crazy how much the kids (and Kyle Field!) have changed in two short years!
U Paint-It. We painted bowls that will be sold at an Empty Bowls event benefiting our local food bank. I love to watch her create!
couldn't resist a little trip down memory lane - seriously, aren't they adorable?!
my favorite part of the game - when both teams met on the 50 yard line at the end of the game for a prayer |
this is what happens when you ask a 12 year old teammate to take a picture! :) not the best but we'll take it! |

Shelly and I have done our fair share of changing too! :) |
My sweet parents were able to make over half of the games. Colby loved having them there. |

* our thankful tree - OK, we established my lack of decorating skills here but, even so, I really do try! As a family, we are doing #30daysofThanksandGiving so I wanted to have a visual of all the things the kiddos listed that they are thankful for. I put it up on a bulletin board that is next to our kitchen table (normally this is covered with artwork/certificates that come home from school). I love our Thankful Tree and bonus that it only cost me $1 to make! :) I found the package of foam paper at the Dollar Tree and used a leaf template I found on Pinterest.
* mailbox surprises - Super thankful for sweet friends that leave little surprises in your mailbox "just because"! A sweet card that filled my heart and brought a smile to my face and a notebook to jot down my thoughts While I Wait...! :)
I hope you and your family have a fabulous weekend! Don't forget to count your blessings! The small everyday ones are some of my favorites!
Gig 'em and God bless!

So loved looking back at those boys! They were and still are just so adorable. I was so impressed about the teams coming together in prayer...I didn't even realize that is what happened until Monday morning when Dill and I were talking. So cool. And geez....I sure hope I've changed for the better...will you remind me I do not like short hair on me! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou are crazy - you look good no matter what! I'm thinking I definitely look better with shorter hair. I just can't commit to the up keep!
DeleteI love your Thankful tree!! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kimberly! It was super easy to do. Thanks for stopping by!

Haha! Yes! Jesus made the list a few times. :) I let each of my three kiddos list 10 things each and then put each item on a leaf. We had quite a few duplicates.
