This time last year, Ginny, Shelly, and I were in New York City to celebrate my
40th birthday!!!
Champagne at The Plaza to celebrate my big 4-0!!!
dressed and ready to celebrate New Years Eve in Times Square!
Happy New Year!
We braved the crowd so that we could see the ball drop in Times Square!
Definitely a night I will never forget!
taking in the sights!
We went to see Wicked and while we were there an Arctic Blast blew in!
So much fun spending my 40th birthday in NYC with these girls! A trip I will never forget!

Needless to say, this year will be a LOT more low key! Instead of braving the crowds in the city, we will be watching all the festivities from the comfort of our couch! Our oldest son is on his way to a winter scout camp so it will just be Mike, the girls, and I to ring in the new year together.
Without Colby knowing, I put a New Years Eve goodie bag in his foot locker. Didn't want him to be left out of the festivities! :)
Even though we are having a quiet night at home, I still want it to be fun! I was pinspired by this idea and have decided to do goodie bags on the hour from 6pm till 11pm (have you heard about the Netflix countdown for kiddos?! GENIUS!).
These bags were super easy to put together and I had lots of the items already on hand. A quick trip to Card & Party and also to Target and I was set!
and here's a sneak peak of what's in the bags!
7pm - ring pops
8pm - mocktails
9pm - Hershey kisses
10pm - party hats and glo sticks
11pm (midnight for the girls!) - confetti, sparklers, and noise makers
midnight!!! - champagne and kisses for Mike and I!!!
I'm looking forward to a fun evening! Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year!
Happy Birthday sweet friend! Such fun ideas....guess I know what my to do list will be today...gotta find something to "spark" up this evening for the family.
ReplyDeleteThanks! And, why don't you guys come over tonight? Cause, you know when I made these bags, I made enough for the McJanacs to celebrate with us! ;)
