Friday Favorites - LOVE is in the Air!

Can you feel the LOVE?  It's definitely in the air!  And, if you can't, maybe you've lost that lovin' feeling!  :)

Welcome to my Friday Favorites - this week I want to highlight some of the things that I LOVE about Valentine's Day.  I know there are people that don't really care for February 14th {gasp!} but I just LOVE it!  I'm a sucker for hearts, tiny cards and getting to LOVE on people!

Hope you enjoy a few of my favorite Valentine LOVEs!
CLASSROOM GIFTS - It's no secret that I LOVE putting together little goodies for my kiddos friends.  I also LOVE to pair cheese-y sayings on cards (that I'm sure they kiddos don't "get").  Hey, you gotta do what you LOVE regardless, right?!  Here are Holden and Hope's classroom gifts for their upcoming Valentine parties.
I have to admit that I did get a bit sad putting these together - it's Holden's last year of elementary school so that means that this will be the last year I put together Valentine's goodies for her classmates.
Tags created using PicMonkey - I would be happy to share any of the tags I've made - just shoot me a quick email (I'll remove the watermark though!) and tell me which one(s) you would like.

I found the extra large dog erasers back in September on a super-duper mark down shelf at Target.  I knew they would be perfect for boys or girls come Valentine's Day!  Hope is 4 and goes to pre-school where they have recently started working on sight words.  As I was lurking in the dollar section at Target the other day, I might have busted out clapping when I found these Leap Frog sight word cards! #dorkalert

Here are a few of my past favorites as well:
rubber duck theme - I'm a lucky ducky that we are friends!
mustache theme - I must-ache you to be my Valentine!
melted crayons (how to here) - Valentine, you melt my heart!
sports playing cards - Play your cards right and have a Happy Valentine's Day!
TEACHER GIFTS - I got super lucky with this one!  Jen at Craft-O-Maniac posted this picture on Instagram and I instantly knew I wanted to put it together for the girls' teachers:
I had remembered seeing these fabulous little lightbulbs at Michael's so I braved the rain yesterday in hopes of finding them.  No.such.luck. :(  BUT, I did find these precious soda bottles and I'm super happy with how they turned out!
Some of my favorites teacher's gifts from year's past:
paint cans filled with candy that coordinated with the attached note - merged lots of ideas that I had seen on Pinterest for this one!
here's what the note said:
Don’t SNICKER, but I think you’re great!  You are MOUNDS of fun and you have brought me so much JOY.  I think you ROCK!  Thanks BEARY much for always being so JOLLY and for helping me become such a SMARTIE.  Teachers like you are worth a MINT.  I’d be a NERD if I didn’t thank you for helping me put the PIECES of the knowledge puzzle together.  You are Mighty & Magnificent.  I wish I was in charge of your PAYDAY!  If I was, I would give you 100 GRAND!  Thanks for a great year!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
continuing with the mustache theme - coffee mugs filled with chocolate and tied with "LOVE" bracelets - Hope you have a fan{tache}tic day!
CRAFTS - I LOVE to craft!  Some of these I've recently done and some I've done in the past.  I've also still got a few things I would like to finish before the big heart day!
This was my first attempt at string art but definitely not my last!  Lots of fun and super easy to directions can be found here
My girls LOVE this wreath cause it looks like a gigantic tutu!  Found the idea on Pinterest but the link no longer works. :(
Pinspiration and instructions can be found here
I can take absolutely zero credit for this one!  When Colby was in 3rd grade, they were to make their own valentine box - they were encouraged to "think outside the box" and this is what he came up with.  I LOVE it!
DECORATIONS - Unfortunately, I still haven't decorated (the box is down from the attic - that has to count for something, right?!) but I was super excited to receive this pillow in the mail this week!  I LOVE Better Life Bags (please tell me you've heard of them - if not, please check them out!).  The majority of the time they make design-your-own bags but occasionally they do a limited release using scraps of material.  They released these heart pillows just in time for Valentine's Day.  I'm thinking this little gem will make it all the way through St. Patrick's Day!  I checked yesterday and they still had a few pillows left.  Get one before it's too late.  You can see the selection they have here.
CANDY - OH, my goodness!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE chocolate!!!  And, Dove chocolate is the absolute best!!!  It is SO hard to pass up this goodness!!!
I would LOVE to hear what you LOVE about Valentine's Day!  Thanks for stopping by!  Oh, and before I forget, come back on Monday to read all about my LOVE Challenge that has truly challenged the way I think about LOVE!
