Here's some of the ideas I've been pinning...
Follow Holly @ While I'm Waiting...'s board St. Patrick's Day ideas on Pinterest.
This was the small set-up that I had waiting on the kiddos last year when they woke up on St. Patrick's Day:
Here's a little secret...lots of this stuff is gifted over and over. :) The shamrock glasses, the green beads, the gold coins, etc. - after St. Patrick's Day I just pack them away with the other decor and bring them out again next year. The kids don't seem to mind - I think they just like having a little surprise waiting for them when they wake up!
And here's a few ideas that have me pin-spired for this year:
I LOVE a good scavenger hunt and so do the kiddos! We've done this before for Valentine's Day but not for St. Patrick's Day. March 17th happens to fall during our Spring Break this year so I think something like this will be perfect!
I recently went to Target and picked up some fun items that I plan to use for St. Patrick's Day:
I'll use them in the scavenger hunt but I'll also attach some super cute tags to them. Here's a source for 50 free printables!!!
And since the kiddos are out of school, it will be a great time for them to take a treat to pass out at their dad's office. This looks like a fun idea:What ideas have you pin-spired for St. Patrick's Day? I could always use some more! :)
Have a blessed week! Gig 'em and God bless!
Holly

ReplyDeleteGlad you liked them, Chantel! St. Patrick's Day really isn't on their radar so it's easy to surprise them and knock their socks off with just a little happy or two! :) Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Aw! That's so sweet to have a surprise like that set up for your kids, I think I'm going to have to use this idea for my son. He is old enough now that he will probably really appreciate it, and he is Irish from his dad's side. I never really celebrated, but now that I have an partly Irish son I feel like it's really important. Stopping by from Motivational Monday #17 & linkup #motivateonmonday.

ReplyDeleteYou made my night, Keri! Excited about tomorrow too! :)
DeleteThe scavenger hunt is SO fun! The last time we did it, each kiddo wanted to do it by themselves so that no one would tell them where the next clue was at! :)
Pinned! Just in time for next week too.
ReplyDeleteYou're the best! I appreciate you so much!
