We are partnering with Jason and Kari Segner of Healing Faith Ministries. The Segners share the good news of Christ with the people of Uganda while helping to meet their physical needs. Healing Faith Ministries has asked us to help them provide some basic necessities that would greatly bless newborn babies in Uganda. Flourish Women’s Ministry is collecting items that will go into a “baby kit”. Each kit will contain:
1 receiving blanket
1 onesie
1 baby cap
1 footed pajama
1 pair of socks
1 burp cloth/cloth diaper
We are collecting items through Sunday, June 7th. On Thursday, June 11th at 6:30pm we will meet at Brazos Fellowship to assemble and pray over the kits.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I've already started working on a few baby hats and am hoping to get a few more completed in the coming weeks. I would love if you could help us out too (and please share with anyone else that you think would like to help)! Thank you so much!
Have a blessed day! Gig 'em and God bless!
Holly

DeleteI love this too. What a great way to occupy your mind while you wait. I know from experience that the waiting is so hard - but as we keep our hands busy it seems a little more bearable. And thanks for linking up with Tuesday Talk. I'm one of the co-hosts and would love for you to join me - I'm giving away TWO copies of TWO books in honor of Mother's Day. :)

DeleteThis is lovely and what a wonderful way to help! When I had my second daughter, I had a Shanti Uganda baby shower. We sold items made by Ugandan women to raise money for birth houses, education, etc. It was wonderful to be able to help out in this manner.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing (and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop).
Wishing you a lovely day.
xoxo
