more teacher appreciation ideas!

While I'm Waiting...MORE Teacher Appreciation gift ideas
Teacher Appreciation Week starts tomorrow!  Do you have special ways that you let your kiddos' teachers know how much you appreciate all they do?  I recently posted 10 easy gift ideas that teachers would love but I also thought I would share some gifts that we have put together the last few years.  Let me apologize in advance for the quality of the pictures - these were taken before I entered the blog world!  :)  One thing I've learned about gift giving - don't give out of obligation.  A heartfelt letter of thanks is worth more than gold!  I love doing little things here and there for our teachers because, well, they deserve it.  They spend so much time pouring in to our kids - I want them to know how much we appreciate all they do!

Last year I was the room mom for Holden's 3rd grade class.  In the weeks leading up to Teacher Appreciation, parents sent in varying amounts of money to put towards the gift.
I was able to get their teacher a nice gift certificate to a nail salon and also some other fun pampering goodies.

I knew I wanted to do this idea so I had been on the lookout for inexpensive nail supplies.  I also combined a few coupons at Ulta and was able to save even more money.

I combined a few sayings that I had found on Pinterest and included this letter from the class.

One of my favorites - the summer countdown!  I found this cute little frame at Michael's and created the countdown at PicMonkey.  Include a dry erase marker and you've got a cute little gift for less than a couple of dollars!

A delivery from Sonic of your teacher's favorite drink is always appreciated!  I used the rest of the money I had collected for a small gift card to include too.

I dropped off these little goodies for the ladies in the front office.  A nail file and bottle of polish - just a little something for always going the extra mile!

Hope's school does a little theme each day during Teacher Appreciation week and this day was flowers.  We grabbed a bouquet from the grocery store and divided them out into vases that we found at the dollar spot in Target.

This day's theme was sweets so we put their favorite chocolates in another dollar spot find! :)

Fun gifts for Colby's 6th grade teachers!  I had to drop these off in the front office since he has begged me not to send in "Pinterest-y" gifts for him to hand out!  :)

These he didn't mind handing out the last week of school!  A bag of popcorn and a gift card to the movies.  Easy-peasy!

After going through my pictures, I realized that I like giving movie gift cards!  :)  This was another version a did a couple of years ago (obviously before I found PicMonkey!).

I hope these ideas help out if you are looking for some easy last minute Teacher Appreciation gifts!

Have a blessed week!  Gig 'em and God bless!

  2. Okay, these are adorable. Such thought that you put into each one. I want to teach your children!!! The extra touch for the office ladies - nice! I'm sure they loved it. AND, the middle school teachers - they often are the ones forgotten yet in my opinion have one of the toughest jobs. I think that was real special to remember them.

    1. Thank you, Michelle! It's fun to put little gifts together! I completely agree with you about the middle school teachers! It gets harder since there are so many more teachers but they absolutely deserve to be remembered! That's a tough job!!!

  3. When The Hurricane had a teacher who was young and cool, Favorite Young Man helped me pick out a gift that was popular with the young and cool. I baked many cookies and wrote many letters of appreciation and gave lots of Amazon gift cards.

    Love,
    Janie
