Summer Bucket List

Does your family create a summer bucket list?  I've found that making these lists help us to be more intentional with our summers.  The kiddos and I jot down a few things we would love to do over the summer break.  Nothing is guaranteed - just a list of things we would like to do if given the chance.  Most of these are ordinary requests.  The fun part is making them extra-ordinary!  That's what is so fun to me about summertime.  It's a time where you can relax, and just be, but it's also a time to cross a few things off our bucket list!
While I'm Waiting...Summer Bucket List
{Anyone know of any waterfalls in central Texas?!  Holden is really wanting to check this item off our list!}

What's on your summer bucket list?!

Have a blessed week!  Gig 'em and God bless!
Holly

and come back on Wednesday for the Waiting on...Wednesday link-up - a place where you can link up what you are waiting on, going through, making, anything - as long as it's family-friendly!  :)
You can check my FAVORITE link-ups page to find the awesome girlies I'm linking up with today.  Show them some love! :)

  1. We started doing the summer bucket list two years ago. I love it because we generally do it Memorial Day Weekend and my daughter always throws in the same thing: win a free cruise! Haha that makes me laugh every time. Your list looks fun! xo Amanda

    1. That's hilarious! Where did she come up with that one? I guess the fun part each summer is finding ways to enter to win a free cruise - who knows, maybe one day you'll win one! I hope you guys have a great summer!!!

    1. Hi, JulieAnn! I've learned that my parenting style is definitely intentional so writing things down has been our go to method! Plus, it's just fun to see things checked off by the end of the summer when they are starting to doubt if we had any fun! ;)

  3. I have found some waterfalls when searching for things to do and there was actually one in the Austin area...I think maybe up near Marble Falls....it has not had water actually flowing in some time but I'm thinking that may change this year. I'll look for the location at some point and let you know.

    2. Thanks!!! That would be SOOOO fun! Let's do it! Oh, and the bucket list is a list of things we would like to do, not actually gonna do! I figure if I put weekly, that maybe I'll do a monthly! #makersgonnamake

    1. And all the moms said, "Amen!" I feel like moms don't even need to say it to each other anymore - we can just look at each other and know! :) I'm hoping the scavenger hunt turns out! It gets a little more difficult the older (and smarter!) they get! I hope you'll share your list!

  9. Great list!! I love that you included both exciting adventures and also more low-key activities. Both should be included in a great summer. :)

    1. Haha - not really, Wendy! This is just my highlight reel - I only show the outtakes and deleted sciences occasionally! ;) I get it right every now and then but definitely not all the time! Thank you for your sweet words though! I've found that being intentional works for me and having a list of a few things the kids would love to do helps me do that. I'm so glad you found me! Hope you'll be back! Have a wonderful day!

  11. I don't create a bucket list, but now I think I should! Would be a great way to keep track of what you wanted to do and actually make sure you do it!

    1. We've been doing it for the last couple of years and we love it. Granted, we never even come close to checking everything off but it's nice to have as a reference (or when we are "bored" we'll say, let's do something on our Bucket List). Thanks for hosting! Have a super day!
