waiting on...Wednesday {link-up #11}

Welcome back to the Waiting on...Wednesday link-up - a place where you can link up what you are waiting on, going through, making, anything - as long as it's family-friendly!  :)  After you link up, make sure to read a few others.  It's always fun to find new bloggers!

The kids will be out of school soon so I wanted to feature a couple of posts from last week's link-up that you can pin now and enjoy later!  Thank you to everyone that linked up!  I can't wait to see what you guys share this week!
*Teaching Kids to Sew by KaCee @ Doing Splendid - My middle daughter, Holden, received a sewing machine for Christmas and loves to sew.  I don't have a clue how to help her so I'm anxious to try out this mini messenger bag tutorial bag with her!  Thank you for sharing, KaCee!
*18 no bake sweet treats by Jessica @ Dreaming of Leaving - Jessica had me at "no bake"! :)  It's no secret that my kitchen skills are lacking so I can't wait to try some of these out this summer!!!  The pictures had my mouth watering!

All Features are pinned to the While I'm Waiting - Waiting on...Wednesday - link-up party FEATURES board!

While I'm Waiting...

Just a few things to remember about the link-up:
*All topics are welcome - as long as they are created or written by you and are family friendly!  Old posts - new posts... it's up to you!  Please link to your specific post URL and not to your blog home page.
*You can link up to three posts/blog.
*Please place a link back to this link-up in either your post or on your party page so that others can link up too.
*It's a party, try to visit at least 2 other posts and show them some love!  This is the fun part!  Be inspired, inspire someone else - don't just link and run!  Leave comments, share and pin their posts - you know, show some love!
*Each week I'll choose a few posts to feature at the next link party.  I'll also pin the featured posts to the While I'm Waiting - Waiting on...Wednesday link-up party FEATURES Pinterest board.
*If you would like to follow me, that would be awesome but it's not required.

While I'm Waiting...

What am I waiting on?  On Friday, I'm going to an event where Melanie Shankle is the key note speaker and I couldn't be more excited!!!  Have you read her new book Nobody's Cuter than You?  If not, run - don't walk - and get a copy!  It's SOOOO good.  It will make you laugh and cry (happy tears) and as soon as you finish it, you want to go hug all your girlfriends!  This book has encouraged me to be a better friend.  The kind of friend that shows up without being asked because...well, that's just want friends do.  You can check out my recent Friday Favorites post for a few of my favorite quotes from the book.
I can't wait to hear her speak!
Enjoy this sweet video promo for Melanie's book.  And then call up a few girlfriends and tell them how lucky you are to have found your Gulley!
I'm so glad you stopped by!

Thanks for linking up!  Have a blessed day!  Gig 'em and God bless!
Holly

  1. Good Morning Holly, checked out the Friday Favorites and inspired by her quotes from the book. I rent books from our library so adding that one to my list. It will probably make me cry because when it comes to friendships I get pretty emotional. Good luck too on the sewing projects with your daughter. I, like you, sewing is not my thing. I even own a sewing machine that collects dust bunnies in the bottom of the closet!

  6. Holden is such a great name! I love that. (Sorry, I'm sure you've posted about her before but this is my first time seeing it!) And those no-bake recipes from the featured post...yum!

    1. Thank you! When we named Holden, I knew that I wanted an H name and I've always loved boy names for girls (I have two nieces named Christian and Collyn). I can't imagine her being named anything else!!! And, yes, those no-bake recipes are screaming for me to make them! I hope mine turn out half as good as the ones pictured! ;) Thanks for stopping by!
