waiting on...Wednesday {link-up #12}

Welcome back to the Waiting on...Wednesday link-up - a place where you can link up what you are waiting on, going through, making, anything - as long as it's family-friendly!  :)  After you link up, please make sure to read a few others.  Try not to link and run.  It's always fun to find new bloggers to follow!

Another great week of link ups!  Sorry that it took me longer than normal to get through them all!  Every mom, everywhere knows that May is cray-cray!  :)  If you linked up, thank you!!!  If you are new, welcome!  I'm so glad you are here!  Lots of goodness last week! Here are the features:
While I'm Waiting...Waiting on...Wednesday link up week 11 FEATURES
*A Must-Read Book by Nina @ Grandma Ideas - She wrote a wonderful review of Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper.  I've already ordered it so that Holden and I can read it together this summer.  Check out her review to learn more!  Thanks for sharing, Nina!
*Dating my Daughter/Son by Michelle @ Grammie Time - Just last week Colby and I had an impromptu date night and I was reminded how amazing it is to have a few minutes of undivided time to just listen to what's going on in his life.  Michelle has grown children and she mentioned how date nights where one of her girls' favorite memories of growing up.  With summer quickly approaching, I was encouraged to make this a regular scheduled "date" with my kiddos.  Thanks, Michelle!
*What am I really waiting on? by JulieAnn @ Coach G's Wife - I opened JulieAnn's post at just the right moment.  I wasn't feeling 100%, I was drained, and my to do list was growing by the minute.  JulieAnn is a young woman but I can tell she's got things figured out.  She's a social worker with a stressful job, a coach's wife, and is in graduate school.  But, she understands the importance of making the most of what time you have.  We are all waiting...it's what we do while we wait that counts!  One of the main reasons I love blogging - the encouragement I get from other women!  Thank you, JulieAnn!
*Staycations for You and Your Children @ Anointed Today - The post mentions a few ideas for those living in Michigan but it reminded me that some of these ideas are available in our town too.  Fun in your own backyard - that I like!  Thanks for sharing!

All Features are pinned to the While I'm Waiting - Waiting on...Wednesday - link-up party FEATURES board!

Just a few things to remember about the link-up:
*All topics are welcome - as long as they are created or written by you and are family friendly!  Old posts - new posts... it's up to you!  Please link to your specific post URL and not to your blog home page.
*You can link up to three posts/blog.
*Please place a link back to this link-up in either your post or on your party page so that others can link up too.
*It's a party, try to visit at least 2 other posts and show them some love!  This is the fun part!  Be inspired, inspire someone else - don't just link and run!  Leave comments, share and pin their posts - you know, show some love!
*Each week I'll choose a few posts to feature at the next link party.  I'll also pin the featured posts to the While I'm Waiting - Waiting on...Wednesday link-up party FEATURES Pinterest board.
*If you would like to follow me, that would be awesome but it's not required.

    1. Keep doing what you are doing! You are making a difference! Your kind words absolutely made my day! That's exactly what Shelly and I talk about when we thing, "why do we do this?!" :) If we can take our lives and share what we've learned and that helps someone else, then we've done what we felt led to do. Isn't blogging the best?! You find the sweetest people - like you! Have a wonderful day!

  4. Love the summer ideas. I especially love how the kids staged a rematch of your water fight--reminds me how they copy so much of what we do! So sweet. :)

    1. They weren't too sure what to think about the original water balloon fight - completely surprised them! We thought it was adorable the amount of work they went through to prepare for the re-match. I loved it! Thanks so much for stopping by!
