waiting on...Wednesday {link-up #20}

While I'm Waiting...Waiting on...Wednesday link up
Welcome back to the Waiting on...Wednesday link-up - a place where you can link up what you are waiting on, going through, making, anything - as long as it's family-friendly!  :)  After you link up, please make sure to read a few others - and don't forget to tell them you found them at Waiting on...Wednesday!

Before we start the link party, I would love for you to visit my summer service challenge - Summer of Service!  A weekly challenge that you can complete on your own or with your kiddos.  This week is all about acts of kindness - random or intentional!
While I'm Waiting...Summer of Service week 7: random act(s) of kindness
Thank you to everyone that has been linking up!  Lots of familiar faces and some new ones too!  I appreciate each and every one of you for linking up and sharing your fabulous posts each week!  And, now to the FEATURES!!!

Just a few things to remember about the link-up:
*All topics are welcome - as long as they are created or written by you and are family friendly!  Old posts - new posts... it's up to you!  Please link to your specific post URL and not to your blog home page.
*You can link up to two posts/blog.
*Please place a link back to this link-up in either your post or on your party page so that others can link up too.
*It's a party, try to visit at least 2 other posts and show them some love!  This is the fun part!  Be inspired, inspire someone else - don't just link and run!  Leave comments (and tell them you found them on Waiting on...Wednesday!), share and pin their posts - you know, show some love!
*Each week I'll choose a few posts to feature at the next link party.  I'll also pin the featured posts to the While I'm Waiting - Waiting on...Wednesday link-up party FEATURES Pinterest board.
*If you would like to follow me, that would be awesome but it's not required.

What am I waiting on?  Apparently our summer isn't that exciting this year because we have another weekend with nothing planned!  So...what will we do with all this free time?! Looks like Mike and I have a little sweat equity to put into our backyard!  Our yard's current state is...well, awful!  We have tons of trees (not to mention all the yaupon!) that is providing too much shade and not enough air flow to grow grass.  So...we will be cutting trees, removing all the yaupon, tearing out all the flower beds, killing off what's left of the grass, laying new sod and even taking out brick pavers and re-laying them.  Doesn't this sounds so much fun?!  Not really!  :)  But, I can't wait to see the finished product!

And don't forget about Shelly at Queen in Between and Katy at Queen of the Kings new link-up!  It opened yesterday and will stay open all month.  It's the perfect opportunity to tell the rest of us about an amazing woman in your life (aka "a Queen Bee"!).  In Shelly's words, "Whether she inspires you with her brain, her fashion, or the way she has handled her personal journey we want to hear about her!"  I hope you guys will join them!  You can check out my first Queen Bee here!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you guys are enjoying your summer!

Thanks for linking up!  Have a blessed day!  Gig 'em and God bless!
Holly

  9. Love that you guys are getting to work in the yard! There is just something about tearing out all that old and starting fresh that I absolutely love! Hoping to get our flower beds cleaned out and new mulch put in this weekend myself. Maybe once our yards are all spiffy we can trade off cooking out!

    1. You know the first sign of a critter and I'm out! :) No, just kidding (kind of!). But, I absolutely agree - out with the old, in with the new!!! Can't wait to see what all we run in to - you know projects that we undertake always end up being more of a marathon versus a 5K! But, yes - backyard cook-outs to celebrate all our hard work! I can't wait!
