The first round of festivities started last Thursday at Hope's school. They have a Halloween Costume Parade and Hope couldn't wait to dress up as Evie from Descendants! I had to giggle - not too many people knew who she was, unless they had a 4-6 year-old daughter! And, in case you are wondering, Evie is a character in a made-for-TV Disney movie. It's SO good! You should definitely watch it (even if you don't have a young daughter!)!
She was in character from the moment she put on the jacket and her combat boots!
That's TWO cans of blue hairspray on her hair! ;)
I think the resemblance is pretty close, don't you think?!
The Costume Parade includes trick-or-treating to different stations set up throughout the sanctuary hallways. Each class chooses a theme and ours was Pirates. Aaarrgh! You know I LOVE a theme and this was so much fun to put together!
I sent Mike a text asking him if he would help me build this plank to use!
The reward for walking the plank! X marks the spot for treasure!
Super thankful for friends with awesome Halloween decorations! I borrowed this guy from a friend's front yard!
Even more thankful for these partners in crime! We put this idea together in two days AND they dressed up! How awesome is that?!
Walking the plank was definitely a highlight of the pirate station!
After trick-or-treating, I hung around for lunch with my Evie!
We also put together fun little goodies for friends and teachers!
Bugs & Kisses printable found here.
Later the same evening we headed up to campus for the MSC Hospitality Halloween event.
We even ran in to our friends - the royal court of Queen in Between and the
it's a shame these girls don't have more fun when they see each other ;)
Oh, and I almost forgot! We painted pumpkins too!
can you tell the teen really didn't want his picture taken?! :)
Hope had to have a pumpkin for school - she named hers "eye spy with my little eyes - spiders!" (because we glued googly eyes all over it and then she drew a few spiders on it)
I joined the fun and made pumpkins that (sort of!) looked like Maggie and Mini!
And then it was FINALLY time to trick-or-treat on Halloween!
This is the only picture I have of the three of them. Colby was heading out to a party so no costume for him this year! :(
Shelly and Carly came over and we stopped at a few houses on our street before meeting up with some more friends.
Such a sweet group of girls! Everyone had a buddy so we were good.to.go!
I'm pretty sure the parents had more fun than the kids did!
A quick stop by Dede and Pop Pop's house for an extra handful of treats!
The younger girls were tired but Holden and Carly were still at it - they even met up with another friend, Ella!
They were having so much fun!!!
a quick pic with two of my favorite girls!
LOVE these smiling faces!
Hope you had a faBOOlous Halloween! Gig 'em and God bless!

and don't forget about the Waiting on...Wednesday link-up today - a place where you can link up what you are waiting on, going through, making, anything - as long as it's family-friendly! :) I'm running a bit behind but I hope to have it up by 9am CST - sorry for the delay! I hope you'll come back and link up! ;)
This may end up being a duplicate comment Holly, the first one wouldn't let me publish. Great party, great costume and great festivities all around for many. I love all the details you put into making your booth so special for the kids. Like your cute costume. Having friends to celebrate these special times with is so nice. I bet you were in need of a nap afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI tend to procrastinate - extremely bad! I was up way too late way too many nights last week and it's catching up with me! I need to get better about planning ahead! ;) But, regardless, it's always so much fun and totally worth it! Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteYour Halloween looks like so much fun! We painted pumpkins at our fall festival this year. Y'alls are super cute! It's cool to see all your Aggie gear. Bryan/College Station is my hometown. My husband and I decided last week that we are going to move back there soon :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome home!!! I know you guys will love living back in Aggieland! Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteThank you! We think they are pretty sweet too (well, when they aren't chewing or marking territory!) #wereworkingonafewthings Nope - no scary here! We had a high school kid scare Holden a few years ago and this year she trick-or-treated armed with an umbrella - so she could "whack" anyone that scared her! ;) Looking forward to you linking up! I'm always blown away by the posts - so uplifting, encouraging, and inspiring! Thanks for stopping by!
