Just a few things to remember:
*All topics are welcome - as long as they are created or written by you and are family friendly! Old posts - new posts... it's up to you! Please link to your specific post URL and not to your blog home page.
*You can link up to two posts/blog.
*You can link up to two posts/blog.
*Please place a link back to this link-up in either your post or on your party page so that others can link up too.
*It's a party, try to visit at least 2 other posts and show them some love! This is the fun part! Be inspired, inspire someone else - don't just link and run! Leave comments (and tell them you found them on Waiting on...Wednesday!), share and pin their posts - you know, show some love!
*Each week I'll choose a few posts to feature at the next link party. I'll also pin the featured posts to the While I'm Waiting - Waiting on...Wednesday link-up party FEATURES Pinterest board.
*If you would like to follow me, that would be awesome but it's not required.
So, grab the graphic, link back to While I'm Waiting... and share away! And then prepare to be inspired, encouraged, and entertained!
What am I waiting on? Well, it's more like what I'm dreading!!! Yesterday Mike took Holden to the dentist to have her teeth cleaned and while they were there, they found out she needs three baby teeth pulled. This doesn't sound like a big deal to most but I must tell you that Holden is unbelievably afraid of the dentist. We are now on our third dentist because the first two didn't understand how bad her fears were. We now have an amazing dentist that truly "gets" Holden and I know she wouldn't want these teeth out unless there were problems on the horizon (Holden HATES to pull her teeth so she will leave them in as long as possible - they are now starting to infect her gums). This sounds so Debbie-Downer - sorry! The teeth need to come out asap - and that means TODAY! So, why are they doing this so soon? It's the only time the dentist had available. So, if you are the praying type, please send some extra prayers up for my sweet girl today around 11am. It would be much appreciated!!!
Thanks for stopping by and linking up! Have a blessed day!
Gig 'em and God bless!

ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome, Debbie! Thanks for linking up!
DeleteThat sweet girl. How brave she needs to be. The letter just grabbed my heart Holly. Your girl needs the biggest milkshake ever when she gets home! So darn cute!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! She can have anything she wants! :) She was so brave this morning as she was leaving for school. Words can't even describe how proud of her I am!!!
DeleteWhat a cute note. We're keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers today, praying that God eases Holden's anxieties and that the procedure is painless and flawless. Thank you for another great link-up too!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Jed! Much appreciated! And, thanks for linking up!
DeleteI'll keep your daughter in my prayers! I hope everything goes okay for her.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Nina! I know the prayers are working! Keep 'em coming!
DeletePraying for you guys! I'm a dental hygienist so I've seen the fear that patients of all ages have. It is so real. I'm so glad you found the perfect dentist for her! So I'll be praying everything goes smoothly today, and her recovery is quick! Buy that girl a milkshake afterwards!!! :) -Jessica, Sweet Little Ones
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Jessica! It's been so hard but finding a dentist that truly understands that her fear is real and not drama has been comforting for this mama's heart. I was so proud at how brave she was this morning leaving for school. I know the prayers are working! I appreciate them so much! Thank you!!! And, oh yes to the milkshake!!!
DeleteHer letter is precious. I'm a reformed dentist - goer myself. I was terrified as a child and for a good bit of my adult life. I was fortunate to find an amazing dentist and he has really helped me work through my dental anxiety. Tell Holden she has prayers going up for her :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Kristy! Finding the right dentist is half the battle and we finally have one that we love and that loves Holden. We are home so it's over - phew! Thank you so much for the prayers! I know they definitely worked!
DeleteOh I totally get Holden. I, too, am terrified of going to the dentist and I am 51! I take a xanax (or two, shhhhh) before going just for a cleaning. Thankfully, I have had 2 great dentists who totally GOT me and my fear. I have a hard time getting numb, so that was part of the problem but thankfully my dentist now (a woman) gets me and says that some people DO have a problem with novocaine. So she is so sympathetic to me and my fears. Thank goodness! Saying a prayer for Holden and that all goes well. Poor baby. I feel her so much!!! xoxox
ReplyDeleteShe took a Valium before too! All was good till we got there. It got worse from there but I seriously can't imagine what it would have been like without the Valium! We are home and all is over. She's snuggled up on the couch with the animals and a milkshake so all is right in the world! ;) Thank you for your prayers! It meant so much and I know they helped!
DeleteThank you for hosting! I will be praying for your daughter and hope it all works out.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Keri! It's all over so now I can breathe a sigh of relief! Thanks for linking up each week!
DeleteOh my gracious what a sweet precious note!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad she feels comfortable writing her feelings - except when she leaves a note for the tooth fairy asking for her FULL name, age, and requested that she leave her something extra special! ;)
DeleteKeeping your daughter in my prayers and thanks for hosting. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Patrick! Hope you are having a great week!
DeleteSo sorry about your little one's dental woes -- how did it go? Praying this experience doesn't increase her anxiety.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this linkup! I haven't been able to visit in a while (not just this one, but almost all!), so it is good to be here today. :)
Thank you, Wendy! It was a traumatic experience but she was all fine once it was completed! Phew! I pray this doesn't increase her anxiety too!!!
DeleteI'm glad you're back! Thanks for linking up!
