Today I'm joining Crystal from Hall Around Texas, Beth from Our Pretty Little Girls, Meghan from The Adventure Starts Here, Jessica from Secrets of a SAHM, and Stephanie from Wife Mommy Me for their Kids Behind the Blog link-up, a monthly Q&A with the kids that made us mamas. I absolutely LOVE these Q&A's with my kiddos! Sometimes I get the answers I'm expecting, but not always! It's fun for me to share #thekidsbehindtheblog!
the kids behind While I'm Waiting... - Hope-age 5, Colby-age 14, and Holden-age 11
Here are the {very brief} answers my kiddos gave to this month's prompts!
1. What is something I always say to you?
"clean your room"
"I love you!"
Last year while she was at camp, we had a little secret hand sign that meant "I love you."
She only surprised me in one camp picture but seeing her secretly let me know she loves me meant the absolute world to me!
"I love you!" - I must be doing something right! ;)
2. What makes Mom happy?
"clean room"
"beds made" - I see a trend here...
"when I hug and kiss you"
3. How do I make you laugh?
"random moments like right now"
4. What do you enjoy doing with me?
"hanging out just talking"
"playing hide and go seek!"
5. What is my favorite thing to do?
"spending time with friends and family/be alone" - He's SO right! While I LOVE spending time with my family and friends, I also crave time alone!
"relax while getting your toes done" - I just might have to use the gift card they gave me for Mother's Day this weekend!
"watch me dance"
Yes, sweet girl! I absolutely LOVE watching you dance!
And, as I put this post together, it was a much-needed reminder that this mom job, messy and exhausting and frustrating and amazing and awesome as it might be, is so incredibly worth it. He hand picked these three little people and has trusted them to me. I pray I'm not screwing them up! :) Happy belated Mother's Day, moms! Let's celebrate every day as Mother's Day!
Thank you so much to Crystal from Hall Around Texas, Beth from Our Pretty Little Girls, Meghan from The Adventure Starts Here, Jessica from Secrets of a SAHM, and Stephanie from Wife Mommy Me for such a fun link-up! Be sure to stop by and read all the other posts! I'm already looking forward to next month's questions!
Thanks for stopping by! Gig 'em and God bless!
Holly
I would love to have you link up with the Waiting on...Wednesday link-up - a place where you can link up what you are waiting on, going through, making, anything - as long as it's family-friendly! :)
You are not screwing them up. I think all us moms think that, even when they are all grown up! Sweet answers from sweet kiddos.

Thank you, Regine!
DeleteSuch fun answers..."clean house" is great. :)
ReplyDeleteI wish our house was as "clean" as they talk about! Lots of talk - not so much action! :) Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteWhat a sweet post Holly! I love these kinds of Mother's Day gifts, when I get to read cards with questions on them like this. My 5 year old was asked what was my favorite thing to do and she said clean the house, lol. I guess because I'm always cleaning.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Isn't that funny?! When Hope was asked what I "love" to do, she said clean! We had to have a little talk - mommy cleans, but it's definitely NOT what I love to do! It's true - it's a never ending job!
DeleteI'm seriously impressed you have succeeded in getting answers from all three every single time! I should have sent you Riley's answers to my questions. :( You are an awesome mom!
ReplyDeleteShelly||The Queen in Between
You are so sweet! They've been super cooperative with this each month! But, I do grab them individually when the other two aren't around so they aren't trying to one up the other one! ;) I would LOVE to see Riley's answers!!!
