waiting on...Wednesday {link-up #59}

While I'm Waiting...Waiting on...Wednesday link up
Welcome to the Waiting on...Wednesday link-up - a place where you can link up what you are waiting on, going through, making, anything - as long as it's family-friendly!  :)  After you link up, please make sure to read a few others - and don't forget to tell them you found them at Waiting on...Wednesday!

Jennifer and I loved reading through all the links from last week!!!  Thank you so much for stopping by and for linking up!

If you're here, I know you enjoy link-ups and before I share my feature this week, I want to tell you about a great link-up opportunity from two of my favorite people - Katy from Queen of the Kings and Shelly from The Queen In Between!  Check out their prompts and be sure to link up with them next Tuesday!!!

Since summer is so close that I can almost feel it, I have been thinking a lot about road trips (possibly daydreaming about being anywhere but here the last few weeks of school - can I get an amen?!).  When I came across Andrea's post about Mackinac Island, it had me googling how far it was from Texas!  Sadly, it's a 22-hour drive but I've got this little treasure tucked away for the next time Mike mentions a road trip! :)  You don't want to miss this!!!  Thanks for sharing, Andrea!

All previous features are pinned to the link-up party FEATURES board on Pinterest!  Follow along and you'll get a sneak peak of who the feature(s) are each week! :)

Just a few things to remember:
*All topics are welcome - as long as they are created or written by you and are family friendly!  Old posts - new posts... it's up to you!  Please link to your specific post URL and not to your blog home page.
*You can link up to two posts/blog.
*Please place a link back to this link-up in either your post or on your party page so that others can link up too.
*It's a party, try to visit at least 2 other posts and show them some love!  This is the fun part!  Be inspired, inspire someone else - don't just link and run!  Leave comments (and tell them you found them at Waiting on...Wednesday!), share and pin their posts - you know, show some love!
*Each week we'll choose a few posts to feature at the next link party.  We will also pin the featured posts to the While I'm Waiting - Waiting on...Wednesday link-up party FEATURES Pinterest board.
*If you would like to follow me, that would be awesome but it's not required.

Waiting on...Wednesday link-up @ While I'm Waiting...

What am I waiting on?  It's hard to believe but Hope is hosting her very 1st sleepover on Friday night.  To say this girl is excited is an understatement!!!  She's been asking to do this for a while but I just didn't think she was ready (ok, ok, I didn't think I was ready!).  Well, we're both ready and looking forward to Hope's friend, Whitney, coming to spend the night.  Mike has plans to take the bigs to the movies so that Hope can entertain without distraction!  I'm working on a few things to keep them busy.  Stay tuned!  :)

    1. She is SO excited!!! And, I totally agree - I'm glad her first sleepover is here! Her friend is also the youngest of three so they totally "get" each other. Should be a fun night!

    1. Come on over! :) And, I seriously want to go to Mackinac! Did you see they don't even allow cars on the island! How awesome is that?!

  4. I'm excited about Shelly's new link up too! And Mackinac is amazing. Absolutely amazing! If you ever do get to go, make sure you check out Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore along Lake Superior too. It's a little farther north, but it's so worth it. It's a very little known National Park, but I think it might be the most beautiful. It will blow you away! And good luck with the sleepover! She's going to have a blast! -Jessica, Sweet Little Ones

    1. I'm loving their new link-up! They are just the sweetest girls I've ever met!

You've been to Mackinac? I have never been to that part of the US but I'm thinking I need to change that! Thanks for the Pictured Rocks recommendation! If I can ever convince my hubby to head that way, I'll definitely ask for more recommendations! He's from California so most of our trips are out west...
