Wow - just WOW! Last week was a doozy! Just for giggles, I decided, in addition to some pics from our week, that I would share our week in numbers. I was tired all over again just thinking about it all! :) This week looks a little better - emphasis on little but I'll take what I can get! May is all about survival - just so happens it started a week early. But, before I get ahead of myself, here's what I did last week while I waited...

20: # of lunch duties worked for food drive

A little before pic of our bedroom before we started painting!
Holden was super excited with her Perfect Attendance recognition from dance! :)
Mike gets super serious when we paint and so he sealed off our room so that he could spray the trim.
Hope made a stop sign to remind everyone to, well, stop!
Since we didn't have access to the master bath for a few days, Hope had to use the kitchen sink to brush her teeth. She clearly was bothered by this! Our food drive at Holden's school was a Penny War. The kids took this idea and ran with it! Super duper crazy successful food drive! I'll share final numbers soon - but, trust me, you won't believe how much these kiddos raised!!!
I'm NOT a fan of selfies but it was hard to turn down a request from Holden during her lunch period. Being at the school every day last week wasn't easy but it sure was fun getting to see her every day!
Snapped this pic of Hope on the way to dance - it's hard for me to see her growing up so quickly!!!
Recital is this week so they let the moms come in to watch for the last 5 minutes. This little one LOVES to dance!!!
She was so excited to get her dance trophy and was over-the-moon excited to receive an Outstanding Student award too! After dance, we went to pick up Holden and was surprised to find another completed masterpiece! This one is for her Aunt Shelley. Holden is traveling to California in June and is planning on taking everyone she is visiting a piece of artwork! #suchasweetheart
After art, we rushed over to catch a little bit of Colby's second 7-on-7 football game. Every time I look at him I feel like he's gotten just a little bit bigger. It's crazy how fast they are growing!
Hope was super excited to receive McKenna back from the American Girl hospital on Wednesday. McKenna had been the recipient of Maggie's nibbles and had lost a hand. #ouch
Mike was at a banquet on Wednesday night so Holden helped out by reading Hope her bedtime story.
And this is around the time I started to unravel. Our house was a mess and, sadly, it still is!
But, the good news is I LOVE the new paint color!!!
Michelle and I co-chaired the food drive this year and I absolutely don't know what I would have done without her! Working on a project is so easy when you love who you are working with! I didn't count but I'm guessing we sent approximately 1,478 texts last week alone!
The donations just kept pouring in!!!
more progress on our room!
Shelly was a lifesaver and had Holden with her on Saturday and Sunday. She came home from running an errand to find the girls washing her car!
It was a crazy, busy, full week but, looking back, I wouldn't have changed a thing!
I'm so glad you stopped by! Have an extraordinary week!
Gig 'em and God bless!

I love love love the color of your bedroom and can't wait to see it finished! Mike is Meticulous!! Love that too! We are the same way but Tony would never undertake the arduous task of painting. God bless your husband! We are now totally redoing our backyard, and putting a new roof on this week! EEKKKK! Have a more calming week!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! It's truly a labor of love! Now to find a rug and new lights I like (but stay within my budget). #noteasy Haha - YES! Mike is meticulous. Like, crazy meticulous! But, that's one of the many things I love about him! He will work his tail off making sure everything is just right! Good luck with the backyard makeover! We just laid new sod so we kind of know what you are in for! Hope you are having a glorious week! Thanks so much for stopping by!
