Never underestimate...

Never underestimate the power of a text message.  Never underestimate that little nudge you feel telling you to say "hi" to a stranger.  Never underestimate how your smile could change someone's day!

It's so easy to get caught up in our day-to-day schedules and be so consumed with busy that we don't pay attention to those around us.  But, today I was reminded that someone merely thinking about and praying for me made my entire day!

If you've been following my journey, you know we've had lots of changes happening over here!  School has started, schedules have filled, and I've been running on fumes (hence the lack of blogging!).  But today as I was sitting at my computer, desperately trying to catch up, I received the sweetest message.  Here's what it read:

Good morning!  I wanted you to know that I've just prayed for you and your family.  I've asked God to bless you today and to meet every need that you have right now! (Philippians 4:19)

Tears filled my eyes, a smile filled my face, and peace filled my heart.

Never, ever underestimate the power your words and prayers have on others!  These three little sentences were like butter on warm bread to my soul today!  They melted away any anxieties that I was dealing with and reminded me that God is for me.  He's for my family.  He's for all of us!

Sweet friends, you are such a blessing!  I pray that God blesses YOU today and meets your every need!

Philippians 4:19-20

And, to the sweet friend who sent me the message - YOU were my biggest blessing today!  Thank you!

Gig 'em and God bless!
Holly

  1. It's the best when somehow, someway, a friend or family member knows you need a pep talk. When you don't have to say anything and receive kind warm words to fill you up, that's just an awesome feeling.
You're right, our small texts can mean so much more to the person on the other end.

Aren't you happy it's FRIDAY!!?!! I'm ready for the weekend. :)
Wishing you and your family a fun weekend.
