It's only Tuesday but it already feels like this past weekend was forever ago! Do you ever feel like that? Saturday and Sunday seem to rush by only for the week days to drag on... We seem to live for the weekends around here! They may seem busy but I like to refer to them as more fun-filled! ;) Here's a peak into what we did last weekend!
Hope came home from school sick on Thursday but thankfully was feeling better within a few hours. I kept her home from school on Friday just in case. I sure loved having my sidekick with me all day! She worked so hard on this book about 5 Little Pumpkins - it was adorable!
Even though I was happy to have Hope home, I was sad because I was suppose to be with Holden on a field trip to A&M. I didn't want her to be disappointed and prayed that she would have a great day. About an hour later, I get this picture texted to me from Holden's previous pre-school teacher. She helps at Holden's school and Holden was going to be in her group for the field trip. Answered prayer!
Since Hope was feeling better, I decided to tackle this pile... Actually, I was looking for a box and got side tracked but #whatevs. I've still got a long way to go but any progress is a step in the right direction!
Friday night Hope went to her friend, Whitney's, precious Beanie Boo party!
Each guest came home with a new Beanie Boo. Meet Tasha!
Meanwhile, Carly and Holden were having a sleepover at our house and doing their best to stay up all night!
I checked on them later and found them like this. They truly are the sweetest friends!
We woke up to a crisp morning to play soccer!
Hope loves playing soccer but she loves her friends too! It's always fun to see who we are playing each week and how many times during the game Hope will either hold hands or hug her friends!
Hope and Faith - Faith also has a big brother Colby's age and it's been fun seeing this little friendship blossom now that they go to school together!
After the soccer game, I ran a few errands and then called Shelly and convinced her she needed to come to this little market with me. They had SO many cute finds!!!
We made it home in time to watch the Aggies. Sadly, it didn't end well for the boys in maroon.
Love that I can still bribe get her to wear smocked dresses!
Sundays are for church and lunch with friends! #mcjanacs
Mike took Colby and Hope home while Holden and I did a little shopping! I love getting one-on-one time with our kiddos and this day didn't disappoint! Holden is coming into her own and I love how comfortable she is in her own skin! Shopping with her is definitely an adventure!
She definitely made out well on this little shopping trip!
Sunday night Mike and I were able to get away for dinner to celebrate twenty years since he asked me to marry him and also to celebrate his birthday a day early. Sometimes it isn't easy to get away for a few hours but it's always so worth it.
Yesterday was Mike's birthday so after a full day of red ribbon dress up fun, a couple of dance classes, and a FCA meeting, we were finally able to go to dinner. No one had a device which was nice but Mike and I joked afterwards that maybe we should have let them take them! It was non-stop, "mom, mom, MOM" and , "hey, Dad, know what?!". Our heads felt like they were on a swivel trying to listen to three different conversations! They are normally talkative kids but last night they all three were VERY talkative kids! And we loved every minute of it!
Mike loves coconut cream pie so we came home and celebrated with a slice of pie for him and ice cream cupcakes for us. :) We also ran out of candles so we improvised with four single candle and a #6. :) Happy Birthday, babe!
Gig 'em and God bless!
Holly
