Royally Waiting {link-up #5!}

Royally Waiting... a weekly peek into your week link-up

Welcome back to Royally Waiting!  A place where you can share a glimpse into what's going on in your world!  KatyShelly and I are so glad you are here and hope you'll link up with us!  Here's a quick peek into my week...

CELEBRATING - From last Thursday till Monday we have been celebrating Holden's 12th birthday!  Yes, it was a marathon but we finally crossed the finish line!!!  A few posts coming soon about our awesome road trip to Paris {Texas} and Holdenville {Oklahoma} via Waco and Dallas!  Here are a few pics from our celebrations...

 When your birthday falls on a school day, it can be a bummer.  To ease the pain, Mike and I took her off campus for lunch on her big day!  She loved having us all to herself!

It feels like we have been CELEBRATING her birthday for such a long time but it's worth it to see this smile!  Here's wishing her many, many more!

We wrapped up celebrations with our extended framily.  We are so thankful for everyone in this picture!!! #friendsarefamilyouchoose #mcjanacs

ADMIRING - We have spent a LOT of time together the last few days but I can honestly say, these two have friendship down to an art form.  The are so honest and raw with each other but never, not one time, did I ever see them get upset with each other,  I ADMIRE they way they love each other and truly hope and pray they are always there for each other!

* CHEESING - On our girl's road trip we stopped at the Dallas Zoo.  As Holden and Carly were passing by, this funny monkey stopped and said CHEESE for a photo!

LEARNING - While we were on our birthday road trip, Hope decided it was the perfect time to LEARN to ride her bike without training wheels!

She couldn't wait to show me her new found skill!!

LOVING - On our recent getaway to Comfort, TX, I came across this adorable dino succulent holder.  I don't have a thing for dinosaurs but when I saw these dino salt and pepper shakers at Target, I knew I needed them. ;)  I showed them to Mike and he was sweet enough to surprise me with them yesterday!  #aaahhhh I LOVE that he knows it's the little things that make me happy - and these little dinos give me all the heart eyes!

MEETING - I had the best time last night MEETING a blog reader!!!  Kim has been following Shelly & I for some time and has been such a source of kindness and encouragement to me!  We chatted like we had been friends forever!  Kim and her daughter are in town on a mother-daughter road trip ( a girl after my own heart) and it was fun telling her about everything we love in and around College Station!  Kim, you're the best!  Come back and see us soon!

WAITING ON... - We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the remodel!  Yesterday they poured the additional driveway slab and we couldn't WAIT to leave our forever mark!  It's getting really exciting and I can't WAIT to finally move back into our house! #sixweeksandcounting

Don't forget to link up with us before you go!  We look forward to you sharing what's going on in your world!
