Royally Waiting...

Royally Waiting... a weekly peek into your week link-up

Welcome back to Royally Waiting!  A place where you can share a glimpse into what's going on in your world!

KatyShelly and I are so glad you are here and hope you'll link up with us!  It's a fun way for us to see what you guys are up to!  It's been a couple of weeks since I linked up so I thought I would give you a peak into what we've been up to!

DRIVING - Holy heck - look who got his driver's permit!!!  I was/am not ready for this!!!  :)  He's enrolled in a driving school but has been driving us around more and more.  Learning to drive in a college town - surrounded by literally thousands of others who can't drive - is no joke!

This is how my face looks the entire time he's behind the wheel!  :)

ROAD TRIPPING - We road tripped to Tennessee for Colby's dance team. They did an awesome job and the people of Tennessee couldn't have been any nicer!  This is definitely an area of the country that I want to get back and spend some time in!!!

We couldn't drive through Hope, Arkansas without stopping!!!

The Anthony Chapel was a bucket list stop and when we were routing our trip, Mike noticed it was only an hour away.  Love that my man was willing to take a detour to see something that was unbelievably beautiful!

If you are ever in southwest Arkansas, add the Garvan Woodland Gardens to your itinerary!  There was hardly anyone there and it's the perfect place to stretch your legs on a road trip.  If you have the time, be sure and pack a picnic lunch!  Gorgeous!

We continued our road trip and arrived in beautiful Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  Isn't it gorgeous?!  Not only pretty but the weather was amazing too!!!

The Lil' Wranglers danced an amazing show at Dollywood!

After a few days in Pigeon Forge, we headed to Nashville but stopped in Knoxville to see Neyland Stadium.  We couldn't believe it but we found an open gate and were able to walk the entire stadium!  This was definitely a highlight for Colby!

While in Nashville, we went to the Grand Ole Opry.  Another highlight - especially for Mike and I!

The dance team performed on the plaza of the Grand Ole Opry and we were so excited to see this sign announcing their performance!

These are just a few of my favorite pics of Colby and his partner, Shay, dancing on the plaza of the Grand Ole Opry!

They were having so much fun!  Their smiles say it all!

My most favorite pic!!!  They ended their solo with a booty bump - it was precious!

The entire traveling team of Lil' and Elite Wranglers.

We spent a little bit of time in Nashville and a stop at Vanderbilt was a must for Colby.  We couldn't find an open gate at the football stadium but we did find one at their baseball field!

The girls were troopers this trip so we found some Nashville murals to satisfy Holden's art-loving heart!

It was a fun trip but we were so glad to be home!

CELEBRATING - We celebrated Father's Day with two of the best dads I know!

UNPACKING - Or not...  Ugh - I think I've hit a wall.  Maybe I'm still tired from our trip but when I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is unpack anymore...  This is the current state of our kitchen!

WORKING - Super thankful for an understanding workplace!  This week Colby has been at Boot Camp each morning while Holden has been attending summer school.  It didn't even register till Sunday evening that I had no place for Hope to go!  So, for the last couple of days, she's spent a few hours each morning with me at work.

Clearly, she made herself right at home!

It's not work without a little Snapchat filter fun!
STRUGGLING - Yesterday I shared a piece of my heart.  If you've ever felt misunderstood or alone, I hope it speaks to you.  You can read more here.

WAITING ON... - The weekend!  We've got a birthday party, Colby leaves for Scout Camp, and then possibly heading to Houston to get a few things for the house.  No real plans - and that's what I look forward to the most!

What are you WAITING ON?

Don't forget to link up with us before you go!  We look forward to you sharing what's going on in your world!

  3. Congratulations to your son learning to drive! I just wrote about how emotional watching my toddler grow up is for me so I can only imagine! I'm sure that feels like just yesterday!

  4. Your son is driving? I know your fears. I can remember when the boys started driving. One drove really well and the other made me pump brakes on my side all the time. He's an excellent driving now, though and extremely cautious. Great family pictures.

  8. Wow, you have been busy. What a cool trip to Nashville, I was following it on Instagram. That is a place that I would love to go.

Don't worry about your son driving. Last week, I had to go with my son to L.A. for something and I let him drive me all around and I loved it. That was the first time I let go like that and it was great. He will do fine.

Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful week.

  9. What a fantastic family trip, to see all the pretty things and watch your kids have a blast doing what they love. Your kitchen looks like my living room. Everything just threw up in it and I don't even know where to start and I'm throwing a party for 40 on Sunday...oops!
